Sayoko Doi, 89, of Kawaihae died March 14 at home. Born in Hakalau, she co-owned and managed the former T. Doi & Sons store (Doi Store) and was a member of Kamuela Hongwanji. Services held. No koden (monetary gifts). Survived by son, Ted Doi of Kawaihae; daughters, Sandra Lynn (Kenneth) Uemura of Hilo and Irma (George) Matsuo of Kawaihae; sisters-in-law, Tsuneko Doi of Kawaihae and Barbara Doi of Honolulu; brothers-in-law, Nelson Doi of Waimea and Shunichi Sugino of Pepeekeo; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
